PLEASE NOTE THIS POST HAS BEEN FILLED AND IS INCLUDED HERE FOR TESTING PURPOSES ONLY.

The Women and Children’s Department of the Legal Services Agency has obtained funding from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation for a new 3 year project working with refugee and migrant children and young people in Scotland.
The aim of this new project is to provide legal advice that is holistic and client-centred whilst also contributing to training, research and policy development in areas directly affecting this client group in Scotland.
We are looking for two qualified solicitors to work within this innovative new project, from January 2012, under the supervision of the head of department.
Both solicitors must be able to practise in Scotland and must have legal experience in children’s rights and/or asylum and immigration law. One solicitor will be expected to take on a more senior role in the project and will have specified supervisory duties under the direct responsibility of the head of the department.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for talented and motivated individuals who are committed to the realisation of children and young persons’ rights in Scotland.
