Derek Morrow
| Trainee information | What differentiates me from other applicants is my hunger. I have willingly taken on extra pressure in order to follow my dreams- I gave up a promising career within one of the world’s leading blood diagnostic laboratories, have completely changed careers and have put myself significant pressure. Fortunately, as a result of this experience, I am filled with drive and ambition and when someone gives me the opportunity to prove myself, they would be rewarded with one of the most hard-working and loyal trainees that they have ever met. I was inspired to enter the legal profession by the character Atticus Finch in “To Kill a Mockingbird”. When all other people were losing their heads this character was full of dignity and honour and believed that justice would, in the end, prevail. He was a respected man and, like me, making money from his profession was not his first concern and instead strived to help those in need. During the Professional diploma in Legal Practice I have found myself drawn to the areas of Private client and Civil litigation where I believe I would gain a lot of client contact and I feel that these areas (and those similar to them) are where I would be able to flourish most. |
