Seminar Details The seminar will discuss the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision in the RBS v Wilson which overturned 4 decades of practice in how lenders enforced their rights in terms of standard securities; with particular emphasis on what steps now need to be taken by lenders to enforce their rights in terms of such securities and how lenders dealt with the headache of disposing of literally thousands of cases which has been raised on the wrong legal premise.
Tom McEntegart is the Managing Partner and Head of Litigation at Anderson Fyfe LLP, which represented RBS in the appeal to the Supreme Court in the Wilson case. Tom has acted for a number of lenders in the recovery of secured and unsecured debts for many years.
