Seminar Details Mediation is now used more commonly than in the past: what does it really add and how can we use it better for the benefit of clients? This seminar will draw on John Sturrock’s experience of conducting hundreds of mediations in Scotland and elsewhere in a wide range of commercial, public sector and other disputes.

John Sturrock QC is recognised as the leading commercial mediator in Scotland, with a practice extending to London, Dublin, Belfast, mainland Europe and the Middle East. He mediates in major commercial, business, senior management and other sensitive or complex disputes. As chief executive, Sturrock has established Core Solutions Group as a pre-eminent provider of mediation, training and facilitation services in the areas of conflict management and negotiation. In 2009, he was named Mediator of the Year and became a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators. He received the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws from Edinburgh Napier University in 2010. In 2013, in his mediator capacity, he joined Brick Court Chambers in London.
