The New Property Factors Regime / Letters of Obligation

|Seminar Details||In this joint seminar Lionel Most, a property partner in Burness, Paull and Williamsons and a member of the Law Society Property Committee, will outline the pitfalls of letters of obligation, when they are classic and when they are not, when they can be granted and when not, and will highlight some frequently asked questions on the topic.
Grant Hunter, Partner in bto’s Commercial Dispute Resolution team, will look at the implications for property factors of the new regime introduced by the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011. He will provide some observations on the registration process and offer an overview of the new Code of Conduct, the novel Dispute Resolution provisions and the offences introduced by the Act.
