Solicitors' Obligations in Money Laundering
Date 14/03/2013
Speaker Steven Docherty (Partner, Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP)
Seminar Details The Anti-Money Laundering regime is changing, yet so much more stays the same. This seminar will provide a vital reminder of the basic rules (the offences and defences), will highlight where things might be about to change, will make suggestions for good practices and internal procedures, and will work through some case studies on where things have gone right - and wrong - in recent times. The seminar is aimed at MLROs, but should be of interest to anyone who wishes to keep themselves on the right side of the money laundering line.
Steven Docherty is the MLRO at Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP, a role he has held for a number of years. In that time, he has acquired experience of putting in place procedures and practices, and helping colleagues with money laundering issues, and in addition has sought to share that knowledge with others by regularly speaking at training seminars.
Seminar Time 5.45pm - 7.15pm (registration from 5.30pm)
Booking Fee £50 members; £75 non-members; £15 member trainees; £25 non-member trainees
